Evan J Hamilton
Director of Gas & Joint Trench
Evan Hamilton is the Director of Natural Gas and Joint Trench Operations for The Hydaker-Wheatlake Co. He is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, developing and implementing operational policies and procedures, managing field and Project Management staff, budgeting and forecasting, and helps develop and execute the organization’s strategic plans.
Prior to joining The Hydaker-Wheatlake Co. in 2021, Evan served as a United States Air Force officer at Little Rock Air Force Base with the 61st Airlift Squadron and instructed at Pensacola Naval Air Station with the 451st Flying Training Squadron. After his time in the Air Force, Evan held leadership roles with CenterPoint Energy in Indiana. With CenterPoint, Evan supervised daily operations that served over 52,000 metered customers and 1,200 miles of natural gas distribution pipelines.
After high school, Evan attended Indiana State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Policial Science. During his time in the Air Force, Evan further attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where he received a Master of Science degree in Occupational Safety Management and separately obtained his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Currently, Evan is enrolled at the University of Notre Dame where he will receive his master’s in Business Administration in May 2024 – Go Irish!
Evan is married to his childhood friend and classmate, Danielle. Evan and Danielle have three children together, Audriana, James, and Jake. Evan volunteers time in a leadership role for his local Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.) organization and coaches various youth sports. In his spare time, Evan enjoys Notre Dame football, golf, and other outdoor activities.
